Please note that in the majority of cases, our practice issues 28 DAYS supply per prescription. This is in line with Cornwall-wide and National prescribing policy and helps ensure patient safety as well as avoid risks of medicines waste where dosages and medications are required to be changed. Ways to Request your Medication
Online – Register for Patient Access (see further details in this pack) you can submit a request to us any time of day or night and see full details of your prescribed medication online
If you don’t have a smartphone or tablet to order your medication online you can send your request.
By hand or post – you can bring in or post your counterfoil slip to any of our surgeries (or if you have lost the counterfoil write a note clearly detailing the medication required)
Online requests are the preferred method of ordering as this saves considerable time to the patient and the practice.
Please allow at least 5 working days for us to process your repeat request when it will then be ready for collection at the surgery, or we shall forward it to your nominated chemist. Please also note the chemist could then require at least one working day to prepare your repeat medication. We recommend requesting your repeat medication a full five working days in advance to allow for any queries or stock issues at your chemist (and remember if there are bank holidays involved you need to allow even more time as these are not routinely working days).
